This was a domestic violence-related homicide.
A 22-year-old woman and her two daughters were found dead May 25 inside a Blue Springs duplex following an apparent murder-suicide.
Also found dead was a 23-year-old man.
Police identified them as Lindsey Money, 22; Jazmine Money, 2; Shenayah Money-Wilson, 4, who also is identified in an obituary as Shenayah Lynn Money; and Jessy Letellier, 23.
Relatives discovered the bodies inside a duplex in the 1200 block of Northwest Cheshire Place in Blue Springs.
The girls died from gunshot wounds to the upper body, police said. Letellier died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the upper body. The cause of death for Lindsey Money has not been determined, said Sgt. Joe Fanara, a spokesman for the Blue Springs police.
Investigators found a handgun near one victim, but police have not said which victim, pending the results of autopsies. Police did not release any other new details Tuesday.
Lindsey Money's mother and brother discovered the bodies about noon Friday after Money failed to show up the previous evening for an event that she and her mother had planned to attend. When Lindsey Money didn't respond to repeated text messages.
The woman and her son went to the duplex and opened the door with a key. Police responded a short time later.
