Police were called to the area of 24th Street and Brighton Avenue and discovered the victim shot to death outside in front of a residence. A man was also shot and taken to the hospital, reportedly in critical condition. The victims had just returned to her home and were in process of getting out of a vehicle when a vehicle drove by and an occupant fired at them. The suspect vehicle turned around and an occupant fired a second volley of gunfire. Man is father to one of woman's children.
