This was a domestic violence-related homicide.
Jovan Belcher, a linebacker for the Kansas City Chiefs, argued with his girlfriend, Kasandra Perkins, in their home before shooting her multiple times. He then drove to the team's practice facility, where he shot himself in the head in front of Coach Romeo Crennel and General Manager Scott Pioli as police approached.
Police have cleared this case.
