The sisters of a prominent figure in the dog show world have added to a reward for information leading to the arrest of his killers.
Two sisters of Peter Belmont Jr. have added $4,050 to the fund. The reward now stands at $5,050 for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for his death.
Belmont, 69, was found dead in his bedroom in the 3000 block of North 115th Street in Kansas City, Kan. His 2007 Honda Odyssey was missing.
Belmont, a former teacher, was best known on the dog show circuit for his devotion to the breeding of Afghan hounds under the kennel name of Elmo. He was renowned internationally.
