A man died this afternoon after he was shot near 80th Street and Garfield Avenue in Kansas City, police said.
Police responded to reports of the shooting about 3:40 p.m. An ambulance took the victim to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Officers were looking for occupants of a black car, possibly a Chevrolet Impala. Police released no further details.
