Kansas City police today identified a man killed in apparent drug deal in his home Tuesday night as Brandon J. Sloan, 28.
Police believe two men went to the home in the 8900 block of Blue Ridge Boulevard about 6:30 p.m. to buy marijuana from Sloan. During the deal, the men apparently tried to rob Sloan, a struggle ensued and Sloan was shot.
He collapsed on a couch and the suspects fled. A roommate saw the suspects drive away in a white car. Detailed descriptions of the suspects were not available.
