A woman was killed and a man was critically wounded in a double shooting Thursday night at East 24th Street and Brighton Avenue.
Police responded to reports of the shooting about 10:10 p.m. Arriving officers found the two victims in the front yard.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and the man was rushed to a hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Witnesses told police that three people fled in a tan-colored, four door vehicle immediately after the shooting.
