Kansas City police today identified a man fatally shot while playing basketball Tuesday as Artreze Dorsey, 19.
Officers were called to the shooting about 3:45 p.m. in the 8000 block of Garfield Avenue, where they found Dorsey lying on the ground under a basketball goal. Witnesses told police they saw a black car driving down the street and an occupant firing shots at Dorsey.
Dorsey died at a hospital.
Police released no further details.
