Kansas City police today identified a man found dead in his burning home Friday night under suspicious circumstances as Carl A. Jones, 51.
Police believe Jones was killed and set on fire in his home in the 3300 block of Moulton Avenue, but the medical examiner has not issued a ruling on his cause of death.
Firefighters found Jones’ body about 10:20 p.m. Friday when they extinguished the fire, which was confined to the room containing his body, investigators said. He reportedly lived alone, police said.
