Kansas City police identify shooting victim

Police have identified a man killed in a gunbattle late Saturday as Willis O. Todd, 31.

Todd died shortly after police found him wounded near the intersection of Lexington and Garfield avenues. Officers had heard gunshots a short time earlier. Witnesses told police they saw two men running down a street shooting at each other.

A man later arrived at a hospital with wounds suffered in the incident, police said.

Three charged with murder in failed November robbery

Jackson County prosecutors accused three men of participating in a botched robbery in November that ended in a shootout that killed their robbery target. Prosecutors charged Albert G. Chase, 21; Reginald D. London Jr., 23; and Marlon L. McMillian, 21, each with second-degree murder, first-degree robbery and two counts of armed criminal action.
