A Kansas City man has been charged with murdering a teenager in a drive-by shooting in 2008, prosecutors said today.
R.C. Moore IV, 20, is charged with second-degree murder and armed criminal action.
According to court records, a witness said Moore was a passenger in a car when he saw Michael Gant, 19, near 31st Street and Prospect Avenue on Nov. 13, 2008. Moore allegedly told the driver to turn around and then shot Gant as they drove past.
Moore was a juvenile when Gant was killed but he has been certified to stand trial as an adult, officials said.
