A 16-year-old boy killed in an early morning shooting in east Kansas City was identified by police Saturday afternoon as Tony L. Hughes.
Hughes and a 17-year-old girl were shot about 3 a.m. in the 3000 block of Oakley Avenue, Police said they were shot by someone in a red car that was driving past.
The girl is expected to live, police said
